The research work of Dr. Dušan Marinković and Dr. Dušan Ristić, professors from the Department of Sociology at the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad, was recently published in a prestigious international journal (category M22).
The article entitled “Biopolitics of othering during the COVID-19 pandemic” was published in Humanities and Social Sciences Communications. In it the authors deal with mapping the discourse on otherness during the COVID-19 virus pandemic. By analyzing the content of scientific works in the field of social sciences published during the pandemic, as well as by situational analysis, the authors examined primarily the biopolitical aspect and the biopolitical consequences of discourses and practices that were applied during the pandemic.
The special areas of research that Dr. Marinković and Dr. Ristić deal with include sociological studies of knowledge, discourse, and ideology.
