Žolt Lazar (1961) is a Doctor of Sociological Sciences and a Master of Political Sciences. He is a professor at the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Novi Sad. He is the author of four monographs and over fifty scientific papers, and he also edited three collections (on research on the audience of the Novi Sad Exit festival, multiculturalism and regionalization of Vojvodina). He is engaged in researching the problems of culture, religion and art. He is a member of the American Anthropological Association and the Serbian Sociological Society. He was chief editor of the scientific journal Sociološki pregled (2009-12) (Belgrade).
